A band of vermin and their ferret leader receive an omen that a mighty Taggurung will reveal himself to them. The taggurung turns out to be a baby otter who has both strength and cunning. But the taggurung feels that he doesn't fit his title and when he refuses to do the leaders bidding, he is on the run from his bitter rival who is tracking him so that he would be come the mighty and feared taggurung.
