in this book there is a girl named molly moon she lives in an orphanage named the hardwick house she lives there with other kids and her best friend in the world named rocky scarlet and all the other kids are mean to her except the littlest kids named gemma gerry and jinx they are nice to her and the lady watching them is very mean she doesnt like children her name is ms.adderstone she has a mean pug dog named petula who eats only chocolate cookies molly had came to the hardwick house as a baby she was found in a cardboard boxand a lady had to watch them because ms.adderstone hated children ecspecially babies she hated thier smell and there voices so ms.trickleberry watches them and when they cry she sings them lullabies and they stop mooly grew up she is now twelve the kids bully her everey day the kids names sre hazel hackersy and roger fibbin and gordon boils and ms.adderstone punished molly frequintley she had a felling that something good was going to happen so she went to sleep with a good felling the next day she was awoke by a bell the bell came from ms.addersons pet pug dog petula holding a bell molly remembered about a fifty word spelling testwhich she had not studied for because she was always being punished so she went to school and she failed the test for misspelling the word notorious and her teacher named miss.toadley had a snezzing fit when she got angry because she got angry with molly she was telling her off molly got told off by evereyone she hated it and then she had to run in the rain but she had lost her sneakers so rocky had to help her and the whole class got away and they found the sneaker and started running and stopped because she didnt want to do it any more and rocky started to tell her off and they got into an argument and rocky left her and molly went to the library and went next to the radiaters and read a book like she always does and she saw a fat man come in and yell at the librarian for losing his book which he paid for and he had to come all the way from chicago to get the book of hypnotisim he was a proffeser who had been researching the doctor who made the book the doctoris a famous hypnotist who lived in that city the city was named briersville the proffesser was named simon nockman he had been rresearching abuout dr.logan and hypnotism and he paid a lot of money for the book and the librarian lost it then he gave her a number of the hotel he was staying in so if she found it she cold call him then molly found the bookin the y section of the books because the h was ripped off so it read ypnotism she started reading it it was interesting she thought so she took it and went home and put it under her bed so no one could find itand ms.trickleberry who now cleaned since molly and rocky were older she gave molly a cupcake and told her not to let ms.addrstone see itor she would take it molly went to bed sad the next morning nothing go od had happened so she was dissa pointed she didnt want ms.adderstone to find it so she pretended to be sick for a couple of days she found out how to hypnoyize animals so she hypnotized petuyla to stop eating chocolate cookies so then petula was nice and not sick anymorethen she found out how to hypnotize with her eyes so she practices on herself then the next day she found out that rocky had moved away with an american family and took him away molly did not belive it because they made a pact to stay together but found that it was true rocky had left her there then the talent competition came up and shefound out how to hypnotize crowds so she entered hypnotized the crowd to make them thinkthat she was really good so she won the competition she won three thousand pounds and she also hypnotized ms.adderstone to be nice and edna which was the cook for the orphanage to cook italian food then she wnet to go to an airport where she was going to find rocky she went on a plane to new york to find rocky so she got off the plane in new york and got a cab to manhattan then she went to a hotel named waldorf then she and petula got a room then they ate and watched the television when they saw a talk show and on it was a girl who looked like hazel back at te orphanage edna and ms.adderstone left the kids on their own and then hazel put herself in charge molly thought this was horrible sshe hypnotized davias manager to give her a part in a broadway show and then the show came molly used hypno tizm on the audience and they thought shewas great they thought they saw a star being born then molly had got three thousand dollars then when she was signing autographs proffesernockman was hiding in the dark and kiddnaped petula and molly was sad so she had an interview on thew television and told people to look for petula and that there would be a big reward so people looked for petula proffeser nockman took petula so he could get molly to use hypnotism to rob a jewel bank molly got to her hotel sad and lonley she had gotten mess ages from barry rixey and rocky she was so happy that rocky found her she called him they went to the room and she told him about all that happened so he did too then she told him about proffeser nockman and then nockman called then he told molly and rocky the plans and to do ittommorrow so they got up ate and went to go rob the bank to save petula they robbed the bank hypnotized nockman and then they returned the jewels and then they went back to the hardwick house to help gemma ruby and jinx and take care of them then they got to the hardwick houseit was a mess everey body was sick and nockman was still hypnotized and cleaned the place up and made the kids breakfst then they called ms.trickleberry and told her what happened and she agreed to watch them and they named it the hhappy house and then never hypnotized any one again.
