A book on racism, hard times, love, and sarrow. A 'tissue book'. A true story that really touches your heart and makes you want to do something about all the things that go on. A story of a young girl that growns into a women. Along the way she is raised to believe that if a women gets out of line for her husband, it is okay to beat her. But later she relizes that it is not okay to be hit on and starts to live on her own with the help of her friends. Greatly recommended.
