On My Honor

The book took place at the local state park and included two boys. Tony was the daring one, the one that loved adventure and the adrenaline. Joel on the other hand was the calm one who didn't like taking risks. When Joel dares Tony to swim in the Vermillion River, Tony agrees, but he doesn't know how to swim and when Joel turns around, he sees that Tony has been pulled by the current underneath the water.

I thought this book's storyline was overall pretty good, and had a good lesson to it. The lesson in my opinion was, even if you are that person that loves taking dangerous risks, you should be sure you are ready before taking it.

And for Joel, the lesson would be, don't dare a friend to do something dangerous that they cant do. For example, Joel daring Tony to go swimming, and him getting dragged underneath. Joel would have to live the rest of his life with a small guilt that he was the one that made his friend down and die.
