This is the first book of the Infernal Devices trilogy. I loved this book! It was funny, dark, and mysterious. I absolutely loved the love triangle, it isn't like any other clique. It's about this girl named Tessa, and when she leaves New York to go to live with her brother in London she gets kidnapped and tortured by two evil twins named The Dark Sisters. One day this mysterious stranger, Will, comes across Tessa and rescues her. then she is introduced to a whole new world of the Shadowhunter and downworlders, demons and angles. As she searches for her brother, with the help from shadowhunters, Will her rescuer, who is rude, funny, and mysterious, and Jem, who is sweet, caring, and loving, start to fall for her. She then begins to realize maybe her brother Nate doesn't want to be found, and that her birth was planned and she is needed to fulfill a plan that could end the shadowhunters.
