Most books tell a story, they have a main character and a plot line. This books is different. We are the main character and we are the plot line. Canada tells the story of his upbringing and his experiences guide a moral lesson on the violence that surrounds young people today. There is no summary for this book because every page is worth a full read, there are no unimportant parts, and you can't skim, but trust me you won't have too.

Justice: what's the right thing to do?

Evocative, Provocative, eloquent, what do these words have in common? Thats right, they all describe this book. Justice is an in depth look at the world we live in and the ideas that have and will continue to shape it. WARNING You may feel smarter after reading this book, much much smarter. Not only that but you will be infinitely more informed about everything -atarian. I seriously recommend this book to everyone looking for a deep stimulating read. Sandel manages to explain without sounding dry and pompous, yet not so childish that his arguments are dismissed by those better read on social ideas. There are also, in conjunction with this book, video lectures online at youtube.com. Just type in “Michael Sandel: Justice”.

The Hobbit

The hobbit is the prelude to the lord of the rings fantasy series and in my opinion should be counted as one of the series. I read this book hoping for a good story with action and adventure, but also humor and intellectual comedy. While this book runs dry on the last of my demanding wishes it is still an excellent novel and should be read by any fantasy lover. Bilbo baggins is ( on top of everything else) a great lead for this story and I really enjoyed coming on this adventure with him. If you enjoyed the book I recommend watching the movie as well, it too was fantastic, but that's another review!

This is a really interesting book. It makes us question our society and where we are headed. This book was written in the 50’s so its not exactly current, but some of the concepts are very close to what we are experiencing today. In Bradbury's version of the future america Firefighters set fires, to burn books. The cause of this is still a little unclear to me but I believe it is because of discrimination against minorities that caused this book burning.

The adventures of Tom Sawyer is a heartwarming and exciting tale about a boy in a early 20th century american town. This book made me wish, in some ways, for the past because I appreciate the freedoms that Tom has compared to children today and the adventures he is able to undertake. This book is an American classic that is well deserved of its position and I can wait to read more of Twain’s books.
