The Land

The Land

Rating: It was amazing!

A beautifully written story about a mixed boy, who at time time was disgraced because he was half white and half black. Even though he was born to a white dad, he never belonged because he was a still born a slave. Adventure with him as he leaves his fathers land, his brothers, and everything he once held dear, and begins his own story. One with many troubles, like white men trickery, and along the way he make a best friend who is like a brother in the end, experiences romance, and the painful lose of some he held dear. Then finally he gets what he has always wanted, a place to call home.

I would recommend this to: People who are interested in the time after the civil war (slavery) and freedom of others
