This book was about rivals Chip Hilton, AAU shooting champion, and Jimmy Chung, dribbling champ. They are both fighting for the chance to be in State's varsity starting lineup. Soon enough, Jimmy and Chip become friends, and Chip helps Jimmy play basketball again when his father becomes ill, and he must take care of the restraunt he owns.
This story was very inspiring, because it showed how much friendship is worth. Even though they didn't get off on the right foot, Chip still helped Jimmy return to the sport he loved.
I think the people that read this book and the rest of the series will be inspired to help their friends when they are struggling.
