When Jesselynn Highwood arrived in Missouri, she is shocked when she learns her uncle's ranch has been destroyed. With nowhere else to go, Jesselynn joins a wagon train heading to Oregon. Jesselynn's true identity has been safely hidden so far, but when the wagon master discovers that she's a girl and threatens to abandon her party, she wonders if her rescue mission will end in disaster. Jesselynn's sister, Louisa is also taking a risk. She has dared to join her brother in the daring task of smuggling supplies to a hospital in Richmond. This is a really good book.
