The Fault in Our Stars

Rating: It was alright
The main idea of this book was interesting, but the way Green actually wrote 'The Fault in Our Stars' is majorly overrated. For starters, it's another one of those romance books. Ugh. Second, the way the characters talk to each other is unnatural. Green was obviously trying to do something with the dialogue. I don't know what. What I do know is that it didn't work. I can't see why people are so infatuated with this book, besides the fact that it is about people who have or had cancer. That theme certainly is unusual and interesting, but the strange writing style and annoying romance kept me from fully enjoying this book. I would not really be very enthusiastic about recommending 'The Fault in Our Stars' to someone, unless I thought they would have a different, hopefully better opinion about it than I did.
I would recommend this to: People who like romance. (Not me.)
