As I am reading the books out of order i cannot judge the equality of this series, but the third book is definitely a very good compliment. The curse of The Warm-bloods is an excellent book that will have anyone hooked.
In the third book Gregor is called back down to the under-land to help find the cure for a plague that has erupted. But when he his mother and his little sister boots go Gregor's mother falls ill with the plague and he must go on a quest to save her and the others.
