Thirteen year old Matt never dreamed that he would be sent away to the Federal Debt Rehabilitation Agency (FDRA) workhouse. His parents are responsible spenders, right.
When his family goes over the legal debt limit, he's whisked away into an FDRA workhouse. All seems ok at first, but soon he learns that more serious things are at work at the workhouse than first meets the eye.

I liked it a lot, the story line was interesting.
