The Lightning Thief is the first of five books in the percy jackon and the Olympians series. I think that Rick Riordan did a great job at incorporating Greek mythology with modern life to make a fun and interesting story. The story starts out introducing a normal teenage boy, but he later finds out he is a demi-god (half god-half human).
The story goes on to describe Percy Jackson's adventure to recover Zeus's stolen lightning bolt. I really liked this book because i love Greek mythology, but it is still a great book to read even if you know nothing about it.
Recommended to: anyone that is looking for a good story
