Haley's mother goes missing during a trip to Iceland. After a year, when Haley too visits Iceland, she discovers how her mother disappeared and gets ensnared in her ancestors' centuries-old world of magic and folklore. I found it neat how the book was set in Iceland, because that appears to be an uncommon setting for a story to take place in. The overall storytelling was vivid and beautiful, and the way the characters from myth came alive was fascinating. I love the author's voice and will most certainly be checking some of her other books out. In all, 'Thief Eyes' is definitely a must-read for those who like Norse mythology.
I would recommend this to: Anyone, especially those interested in mythology.
