It was very well written and I found it poetic in a way that I can't explain, but I had to read it for school so that made it less enjoyable. But if you're a freshman and just want to get it out of the way, then do it.

Clay has lived his whole life with his friends in a cave unable to escape out into the outside world guarded by his mentors. One day there is a chance that Clay and his friends can get out of the cave and they take that chance. It was an okay book but I think that there are many more things can can make the book better.

Ahh, dystopian trilogy, we meet again. Only this time, instead of finding myself trapped inside the mind of a somewhat annoying teenage girl, we get to experience it from the male perspective!! I cannot tell you how much of a breath of fresh air that was. Aside from John Green, I don't get a whole lot of male perspective YA books, so yay! Not only that, but the plot was truly creative and engrossing. I honestly had no clue what was going to happen next and although the grievers freaked me out, I was ready for the second book as soon as I closed the e-cover. Also, the boys came up with their own cuss words. I thought it was funny and I pictured them as a 1960s greaser gang.

Misao is a high school girl that can see things others can't monsters and spirits. But suddenly on her 16 birthday everything changes and who is that beautiful man that Misao seems to have feelings for? It was a good book, but not really my kind of book. Was interesting and somewhat creepy at the same time.
